My pond

Hello,

I have had some leakage from my pond on one side after it was installed last year. I have now after a lot of bother found that on one side the liner was cut a bit too close to the ground and when I top up it leakes there.

I could get some help and lift a boulder and then pull the liner up a bit to give a couple of inches, but to be honest I did wonder whether these liner repair kits could work wonders by maybe gluing a piece of liner where required.

Is this possible?

Many thanks.

Maz

Liner cut short

It is possible, but I wouldn't guarantee it. It has to be super clean and super dry, whether it is rubber, butyl or pvc. The pvc repair kits (if it is PVC) that claim to work under water are really only good for temporary repairs in extreme situations or emergencies. If the side is sloping you can gain an extra inch by packing soil or sand behind the liner to make it more upright. It can look a mess if you cant hide it with a plant or stone.
